Favrs is an independent app that operates separately from any property management, homeowners associations, or residential complexes. Please do not contact your building management, landlord, or HOA regarding app-related issues, as they are not affiliated with Favrs and cannot provide support.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using the Favrs mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Favrs is a community-based platform that connects neighbors and community members to request and provide assistance with various tasks, errands, and community giveaways ("Favrs"). The App facilitates connections between users for voluntary, neighborly assistance and item sharing without monetary exchange. The App does not provide the actual services and prohibits any form of payment or commercial transactions between users.

3. User Accounts and Eligibility

3.1 Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old to use the App
  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account

3.2 Account Registration

  • You must verify your email address to use the App
  • You may be required to provide additional verification for safety purposes, including submitting photos of government-issued ID and utility bills to verify your identity and location
  • You will provide your general neighborhood or community area for local matching, but specific addresses are never required or stored
  • One account per person is permitted

4. User Conduct and Responsibilities

4.1 Prohibited Activities

You agree NOT to:

  • Use the App for illegal activities or to violate any laws
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users
  • Post false, misleading, or inappropriate content
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or systems
  • Use the App for commercial purposes without authorization
  • Create fake accounts or impersonate others
  • Share inappropriate or offensive content
  • Request or offer monetary payment for favors or giveaways (this is a community-based platform, not a paid service)
  • Contact property management, building staff, landlords, or homeowners associations about app-related matters

4.2 Safety Guidelines

  • Trust your instincts about other users
  • Report suspicious or inappropriate behavior
  • Do not discuss or exchange money for favors or giveaways - this is a community-based platform for neighborly assistance
  • Use the in-app messaging system for communications
  • Verification documents (ID, utility bills) are processed for identity confirmation only and are not stored in our systems
  • Share specific addresses only if you choose to do so in private messages with trusted neighbors
  • Consider introducing yourself to new neighbors through messages before meeting in person
  • Remember that Favrs operates independently from any property management or residential complexes

5. Favor & Giveaway Activities

5.1 User Responsibility

  • Favors and giveaways are voluntary acts of neighborly assistance and item sharing without monetary exchange
  • Users are solely responsible for fulfilling favors they accept or giveaways they host
  • The App does not guarantee completion of any favor or giveaway
  • Users must communicate clearly about expectations, item condition, and pickup or delivery arrangements
  • No payment, fees, or monetary compensation should be requested or offered for favors or giveaways

5.2 Dispute Resolution

  • Users should attempt to resolve disputes directly
  • The App may provide mediation assistance but is not obligated to do so
  • The App reserves the right to investigate disputes and take appropriate action
  • Any attempts to monetize favors or giveaways may result in account suspension or termination

6. Content and Intellectual Property

6.1 User Content

  • You retain ownership of content you submit
  • You grant us a license to use, display, and distribute your content within the App
  • You are responsible for ensuring you have rights to any content you share
  • We may remove content that violates these Terms

6.2 App Content

  • The App and its content are protected by intellectual property laws
  • You may not copy, modify, or distribute App content without permission

7. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information, including our use of anonymized analytics data through Google Analytics.

8. Points and Rewards System

8.1 Points Earning and Usage

  • Points are earned through completed favors, approved giveaways, and community participation
  • Points have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash
  • Points may be used for in-app rewards and discounts at local businesses
  • We reserve the right to modify the points system at any time

8.2 Rewards and Offers

  • Rewards and offers may be provided by local businesses or partners
  • Each reward or offer can only be used once per user per offer period
  • Attempting to use rewards multiple times or abuse the system may result in account suspension
  • Rewards have no cash value and cannot be combined with other offers unless specifically stated
  • We reserve the right to revoke rewards obtained through fraudulent means

8.3 System Abuse Prevention

  • Creating multiple accounts to abuse the rewards system is prohibited
  • Sharing or transferring rewards between accounts is not allowed
  • We use automated systems to detect and prevent rewards abuse
  • Violations may result in immediate account termination and forfeiture of all points and rewards

8.4 Account Termination

  • Points are forfeited upon account termination
  • Points cannot be transferred between accounts
  • Unused rewards expire when accounts are deleted or suspended

9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

9.1 Disclaimers

  • The App is provided "as is" without warranties
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy of user-provided information
  • We are not responsible for the actions or reliability of users
  • The App may experience downtime or technical issues
  • We are not affiliated with any property management companies, landlords, or homeowners associations

9.2 Limitation of Liability

  • Our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law
  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Our total liability shall not exceed $100 or the amount you paid us, whichever is less
  • We are not responsible for disputes between users or issues with third-party rewards

10. Account Termination

10.1 Termination by User

  • You may delete your account at any time through the App settings
  • Upon deletion, your personal information will be removed according to our Privacy Policy
  • All points and unused rewards will be forfeited

10.2 Termination by Us

  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms
  • We may terminate accounts that abuse the rewards system
  • We reserve the right to terminate accounts at our discretion with appropriate notice
  • Terminated users forfeit all points, rewards, and access to the platform
